There are times when I wish I could take a drink .. but it doesn't agree with my acid reflux.
Of course this poem does, as it comes to life when I think of the folks I know who are suffering from alcoholism, and these are their famous last words .. poetically said.
There is poetry in everything.
...and when I'm very drunk I say, in pidgin french: "Une pour la rue, si'l vous plait" then I fall off the bar stool!
Which is quite sad really, and I shouldn't joke about these things.
I think it's good that you can 'voice' her conversation and highlight her situation so poetically.
Hiya Bd, Such a poetically recorded observation, beautifully executed!
Thanks for playing along and taking the NaisaiKu.. Challenge again this week, your contribution is so appreciated.
Love the way you express sooooooo much in just five lines!!! I have been there, done that. So, I have given up now. No, I mean, I have given up drinking!!! Haha.
Hi Beloved Dreamer,
Looks like it's going to be a long night for that girl! Awesome poem.
beautiful
Very clever, lovely twist (With lime or lemon) tough I fear our protagonist may be on the rocks soon.
The circular form works really well for this. Nicely done.
