I felt ice shade once, on a very hot summer day, hiking up to an old abandoned railway line in British Columbia, where some snow still remained in the shadow of the old crumbling avalanche sheds.

Ice shade is an interesting phrase. It's new to me and it conjures feelings of deep cold. Well done!

Yes! I can feel it - the difference between light and dark, cold and warm, the difference is the equal.

Ice shade on the ski slope; I know this. Thanks for the insight and the new perspective.

Okay, Melanie, you're messing with my mind. I have to stop.
First I'll choose, the sun over the ice even if they would be equal. (I left my snow shovels in Nebraska and New Hampshire, I was tired of ice and snow.)
You did really good here!
