Blind....Under A Salty Moon
under a cold salty moon, waves reflect stark light
darkness...tidal-dreams echo night terrors
my soul-self racked with pain, trembles in fear...dread
shadows-visions walk amid around through me
sea-mists rise chill invade...mind-eyes blinded dead
the present...the now...lingers...
ever gray-black hidden never to lift fade___
enveloped in dense air,I suck in the moons laughter
quick and gasping they crowd surround me...
deep sand-prints follow...specters,drape skin-tight we are one
unreal now real...trapped in this insanity___
bound chained helpless obscure in an unrelenting nightmare
played-out under a pale salty moon that never sets
deaf to all but ocean-swells...incubus reins___

So many of us conceived under a night sky. Our tears, our blood, our breath, all taste of salt. We are all children of the moon.
Oh -mother moon why do you remain so distant, so cold, so fickle in your fullness and your fading. Yet- you appear beautiful to us, and we still see a reflection of ourselves in your pockmarked face.
This is superbly beautiful! Marked with mystical words, magical thoughts and the moon!
The moon and its allure brings out one's best poems. Well done, beloved dreamer. Have a nice night.
I love that you made the moon salty, it brings images of the ocean to my mind. This was sad but in a good way, painfully sweet.
I really loved this.......
I had to research MSA because I'd never heard of it. ALS and MSA are so much alike. Your words in this poem touched me. You are a fellow warrior and I'm here for you. 18 years has taught me a lot of short cuts. tammyndavid@dishmail.net

Thank you all my friends. I have been dealing with pain for the past few days. Please forgive me for not taking the time to thank you one by one..
