Callous Moon

somehow
passed the closed door
we
watch star shadows
play across the moon

night air
alive...poised heavy expectant
souls meld
time___lingers

fire in the sky
fire...
burns hot flesh
glittering in secret darkness

slowly
in release...we___flow away
captive
in unforgiving hands

sand___wet
covers uncovers...
clinging
bodies reluctant to part

the sea
cold black glass____undulates
laps in rhythmic tides
heartbeats...of the moon

one are we...lost
waves brush the shore
honeyed sugar
sweet...so sweet the caress

mocking us
withdraws it's favors
to lie...
naked beneath a callous moon

This is sensuous and beautiful. Thanks for this.

Ah, this is wonderfully well done. The gentle flow and the strong words meld so well to create a vivid image.

I tried twice to send you an e-mail and each time it was returned.

Wishing you all good things!
