Summers.....Midnight Blues

Summers.....,Midnight Blues

sweet summer sings...a dark blue lament
just listen to the night birds call
soulful low and mellow he___
plays his haunting tune

hearts aplenty must heed his call
to ride...sliver moon beams light
where shadowy dreams there to end
rent asunder all___ summers fools

love once fresh as springs morning dew
under fevered heat...summers full
passion flower's molten shimmering hues
swirl in sticky sweat___ sizzles in silken haze

no mercy given no mercy...found
though men's hearts lie heavy on the vine
ripe ready bound___tussle at an end
while summer sings the midnight blues

Lovely! I can feel the heaviness, the heat, the kaleidoscope of colors!

Gorgeously romantic and heavy-eyed...

You have created a melody with words. Lovely sounds.

Dark blue lament, gorgeous opening. i like how you maintain the musical colors throughout.

I agree with White Rose - this has a lot of heat to it. You've definitely captured something here.

A moment of reflection, even on a perfect day, reminds us that happiness and sadness will both feature future as well as memories.
