Take Me Back....The Ivy And The Tree

You have left me
hiding your heart away
those soft gray eyes
speak words unknown to me
Lips___kissed, smiled indifferent
our bodies, once burned
wild with desire___grown cold
sun ruddy shadows
cast but one twilight shade
old souls were we...
Take me back
whispered___unheard plea
the ground you lovingly walked
opens___to receive
this unhallowed shell
Cover...voided love
cover...lying garnet lips
unfaithful labia___
let springs bounty
makes some good of me
The gentle loam takes___
my heart...richest prize
adoring grape hyacinth, feed
my eyes___their purple haze
Cover this flesh and blood
breath now, forever stilled
a seed buried deep___grows
entwined...ivy and tree

Amazing poem, Beloved Dreamer,
the colors and images render this
rich and layered. A beautiful love
now marked by betrayal/lies,
and the one lover stilled forever.

Very passionate, yet pleading and gentle at the same time. A remarkable combination!
